Problems with paypal

I’ve been really annoyed lately due to someone (a third party) gaining access to my paypal account. In accordance with paypal’s steps I’ve had to change my password, change my security questions and the third one, add a credit card to my account.
Of course, I have been unable to do the third one as I do not, and will not, own a credit or debit card. So, because of the limitations on my account I’m unable to transfer funds, close the account or buy anything using the account.
I’ve been contacted by paypal this morning after I sent them a less than pleased email to say that someone will be contacting me in the next 2 0r 3 days to see if we can ‘work around’ this problem.
I’m really annoyed at this limitation (as I do not have any form of credit (my bank account is a saving account)) just because some a-hole has accessed my account with a view to selling my bank account details to others. Luckily, it wasn’t viable to them because there’s nothing in there!!
So, a word of warning!
Please, please make sure that your paypal account is secure with an extremely hard password to guess. (I thought mine was seeing it was a made up name!) If you’re also like me and do not have access to a credit/debit card, this could scupper your access to your account with risk that it could be further restricted or closed down.
As Squidoo only uses Paypal it could also mean that you would have to either open up a new account or change your payment settings to 100% charity.

Yeah, keep us up to date. I know I had some e-mails that led me to believe someone was phishing for some of my PayPal info back a month or two ago…
